jazz addict

we went to gateway a while ago... then we ate at taco bell hehe... then we just looked around cause it's the first time my parents visited it... i've been there only once before... i was with yeye, sam and kaye =) hehe...

anyway, while looking around, we saw this band on stage outside the gateway mall, in coliseum circle... they weren't playing so we looked around more... we went to shopwise and my parents bought some stuff... we were finished around 8:30pm... when we got outside shopwise, we heard the band already playing... they were very good! they played jazz music and it was really played really well. we sat at the tables outside starbucks and had coffee while listening... then they had a jamming session with jazz musicians... the kid who played the saxophone was really good... he seemed to be a professional and yet he looks like he's just in high school hehe... the drummer guy was really good too, in playing the drums and the bass guitar... hehe... he seemed like he doesn't want to let go of the instruments hehe... though he's good =) i was planning to take guibani there cause i know he'd like it hehe! i was also planning to take vincent there heehee...

my dad talked to one of the band members and requested a song titled "take five"... it's a jazz song... (well, it should be! hehe...) anyway, after that the host of the cool jazz show talked to my dad and started having small conversations... when we were about to leave and finished the last song, the host talked to my dad again... my mom thanked him for a wonderful evening... the host said he was expecting to see us more often because they were planning to have this kind of jazz night every night instead of every friday and saturday hopefully effective next week... he apologized to me because there won't be any loud music but my mom butted in and told him that i also listen to jazz and i'm actually a fan... he was delighted to hear that and also told us that jazz won't be the only theme but latin, classical and maybe reggae may be one of the themes... they were planning to silently invite the A's and B's to this show... to take the libis and makati crowd there and just have fun... my mom told them the place is kind of small if it were successful... on te contrary, they were plannig to close the street and add more tables...

i had fun tonight... sulit yung gabi ko kasi we were just planning to drop my sister and go home... buti na lang naglibot muna kami hehe!

anyway, i better take off...
